I find this explanation highly suspect on its own given the extreme extent to which horse bloodlines are already tracked.

MODERATORS
Under communism, there will be Mandatory Birthday for every human and pet. Like the metric system before it we shouldn't have to remember a bunch of obscure days just to celebrate sufficiently throughout the year. One class, one struggle, one birthday.
edit: not to be confused with my dog's 37 Days of Birthday which is now in its 7th year. That will also continue under communism.
