Parallel killers: "et tu Brute?"

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 93 points 1 week ago (4 children)

To be clear, these are parallel serial killers

[–] ApeNo1@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago

This is to cater for any resistance that may be encountered.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

Three serial and two parallel serial killers.

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

Also known as recurring gang violence.

[–] stupidcasey@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How do you know? What if each one has only killed once?

[–] OpenStars@piefed.social 1 points 1 week ago

But within a series who gets credit for the kill - do they all share equally (socialism), or only the one most proximal to the victim (merit, I dunno?), or perhaps capitalism is at play so the richest one in the set gets all the credit for all the kills?

That "parallel" diagram.... what am I looking at? The voltage is on the left, and presumably the load is on the bottom and that's supposed to be a resistor placeholder. But the wire connects all the way around bypassing the killers, so I guess killers must be some sort of capacitor and this is some sort of killer-driven filter?

[–] BartyDeCanter@lemmy.sdf.org 19 points 1 week ago

Taking a look at the bottom circuit, the killers on the left have the supply voltage across them, as does the resistive load. The ones on the right have fuck all going on, so may be a Magic Switch.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 8 points 1 week ago

Well killers do remove people with some frequency, so I suppose they are functioning as a filter.

[–] PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S@lemmy.sdf.org 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Technically speaking, in the bottom circuit, the two groups of two serial killers are not in parallel (or series), because of that pesky little resistor at the bottom.

Why is there always someone who fights back when being murdered?

[–] icelimit@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Normalise getting murdered with zero resistance!

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago

Parallel Killers would make a sick band name.

The V is for violence.

[–] FrowingFostek@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Series killers? Serial circuit?

[–] Crostro@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

What? No representation for series-parallel killers?
