I think Star Trek 09 used a brewery as a starship engineering section.

I recall that but that could have been any beverage processing plant. They all use similar looking tanks.

I've been in a dairy plant before and they had the same tanks but not a brewhouse. A brewhouse is specifically for extracting the wort from the barley for fermentation so it'd make no sense for a dairy plant to have one.

Could it extract the bones from the person mash before it ferments
Hypothetically yeah, the kettle gets hot enough you could boil bones to make a sort of broth.
But a dairy wouldn't have a brew kettle in it.
What if I told you this was to point out how Carol is obsessing over the deception of the hivemind so intensely that she's blinded to the societal, industrial deception that has always been?
But really I just made that up
counterpoint but they're not packaging milk and would likely add or remove equipment to appropriate facilities as needed to package their Slurry
A two vessel brewhouse is a big ass piece of equipment, it'd be hard to move into a building not purpose built for it. Plus they're keeping their ingredients offsite when most breweries have large refrigerators onsite.
It'd actually make MORE sense for the hive mind to take over a large brewery and make their nutrient goo there. They could store the materials in the hop cooler and then boil it in the kettle and store it in the fermenters, the package it into aluminum cans which would be easier to ship long distances.
But having the plurbs drinking HDP out of beer bottles isn't as alien or inhuman as drinking it out of milk cartons
sidenote but i like how they have all of humanity in there and they don't somewhat hesitate at the thought of prion disease
it'd be hard to move into a building not purpose built for it
yeah but they have all of humanity running that forklift or whatever so "hard" is still probably doable for them
Are the steam lines insulated?
I didn't see any steam lines, they may have had a direct fire kettle.
But there was def a motor on top of the mash mixer to turn the agitators. Seriously she walked right fucking past it.
Fuckers. My wife is now so in tune with my sighs that she knows.. "nobody else cares about the insulation!" Before i say anything
I always knew Bince VILLIGAN was a FRAUD
Carol doesn't know that
for her a glass of cold beer is part of a balanced breakfast
But the hive mind should!
Fermented milk
maybe it's an old brewery that recently went out of business and got sold off to the local dairy co-operative?
