From what I've read and this isn't that expensive, someone can correct me, China managed to control capital by putting a sort of bird cage around it. That's how Chen Yun described it.
But within the cage the class dynamic is still conditional and ultimately at odds with each other. Should the cage fall it'd be the end of communism in China, but if you abolish capital the fear is that it'd prevent advancement and result to the same fat as the Soviet Union. Will they manage to transition into a socialist mode of production? Time will tell.

What I see in the former eastern bloc countries is that the liberal pro-western parties went full zionist and since the left basically died, the only organisations critisizing Israel are rabid fascists (people who are actual anti-semites).
Also most online liberals have the thought process of: 'I'm a liberal, which means I'm smart, which means my first instinct is correct, which the only reason anyone disagrees with me is that they're stupid.' Many people who support the new opposition to Fidesz have basically the same opinions on rome, Israel, prisoners, and the homeless, their only problems is that OrbΓ‘n is fat and ugly, and in younger spaces supporting Fidesz is basically equivavelnt to being dumb. (Which is correct, but for different reasons.)
