I'm in my 20s and I've already had enough, I can't imagine doing this shit for another century.

“You will live and work for 120 years under the iron heel of a bunch of pedophile techbros micro-dosing LSD and macro-dosing cocaine.”

I am become centenarian jonkler

I have to work until I'm at least 71. That is the best case scenario.

I'm already feeling chomsky-yes-honey just thinking about it.

My bones hurt. I didn't even know your bones could hurt, but here we are. I crushed a spinal disc in my mid twenties (always lift with your legs, kids). That shit has not stopped hurting for over twenty years. Apparently I can get it fixed with spinal surgery, but insurance won't cover it, so it would cost as much as a house. Yeah, guess I'll just deal with never-ending low-level pain with occasional spikes of blinding, utterly debilitating pain for the rest of my life. Can I at least get some opioids for the constant unending pain? No? Cool, thanks. "Best country on Earth." Yeah. Keep telling yourselves that.

you have to work but also there’s no jobs 🙃

Isn't it understood that even though we can extend lifespans past 80, the brain itself tends to degrade around then, so quality of life tends to deteriorate anyways? So it's just length of a life, but whether the mental impacts of aging can be prevented.

That's aside from the whole labor commoditization angle.

Yes. Imagine if we allowed this technology for pets. Nobody likes to bury a pet. So now Fido is pushing 40, his brain is soup, he bites everything, and there’s nothing behind the eyes. Oh and he’s still strong and can see well enough to aim the bites.

These doctors are threatening us all with Brandonization

Well they did just release a vaccine for dogs that slows down their cell degeneration and increases their lifespan by 5-10 years. But since it decreases degeneration they keep their quality of life until just the final years like they do right now. So idk 🤷‍♂️
