The US tech industry is so fucking washed. This counts as innovation? The banks already financialize just about everything. Now we're literally finacializing non existent shit like crypto.

im going to financialize the concept of financialization

all the capitalists are broke now catgirl-happy

Yes, financialize the fake currency whose only use is to speculatively hold and hope you can sell it for more then you paid because other, dumber people are investing in it too!

The next innovation will be to bundle it up like insurance policies and sell those bundles to pension funds as A++ investments.

Which I am sure is already happening, just not on a wide scale. But it's only a matter of time.

If we're being for real here, cryptocurrency was financialized from the very beginning.

You're right but I think the point is that the crypto clowns are trying/scamming for dear life to expand on the number of ways crypto is financialized.

[–] Monk3brain3@hexbear.net 5 points 4 hours ago

yeah I can definitely see that happen because this scam train just keeps on chugging along

The world stopped being optimistic due to a proliferation of toxic social media algos.

Prediction markets will re-inject society with truth and market-based consensus rather than baseless vitriol.

The future will be better than the past

User's pfp and banner are edgy art of Eli from Attack on Titan, and his profile claims that he's "head of crypto" at the company being discussed in the original tweet.
