My wizard went the opposite direction. She acquired a Potion of Heal, and mixed it with a Philosopher's Stone. My DM ruled that would make a Potion of Eternal Youth. She was eternally 17 years 10 months old. Was absolutely great because frequently people vastly underestimated her. She was also an 18th level wizard/dweomersmith by the time she drank the potion.
Atheist lich that wants to live forever because he doesn't believe in an afterlife and isn't bothered by eating souls because he doesn't believe they exist.
Small nitpick: if you are eating it you know it exists, or else you couldn't be eating it.

My character became a Lich to continue running her bank and investment company. People sign their future moneys away for ever for some of it now, and debts follow families for eternity >:)
very Orzhov coded, did you think about making a religion out of it?
No but I did run a campaign for a catfolk race that dealt in coins which were converted souls (you had to exchange part of yours to buy into it) with a worshipped vat of souls which was the central bank depository. Was kind of a spiritual successor for me

That's fair, they haven't made a game worth their salt since snake bite piercings were popular and the IP won't outlive Todd or Microsoft.

Wipe out a colonized planet, import confused cavemen for each "team", get into the nitty gritty of civ building from an ageless eye.
