According to reports, he has also been charged with allegedly stealing an iPad from the same jewellery store on 12 November and making away with cat litter and flea control products worth NZ$100 from a private address a day after.

The current "Faberge" brand has no connection to the original Faberge jewelers who made eggs for the Romanovs, These eggs are made by a brand that bought the name from Unilever (And the history there goes back to some Americans who created a perfume company called Faberge to trade off the name 20 years after the original jeweller in russia closed).
The family Faberge sued to get the name rights since they had opened a new Faberge jeweller in France and were competing with people who were blatantly profiting off their name, but they lost and went bankrupt.
