goddamn, at first i thought "did they enter a contest that was run by Nvidia? cause that probably wouldn't be allowed." But nope, they are just laying claim to anything that happens on "company time." Suck my whole ass, Nvidia.
Slop.

It's not nvidia it's a chinese company
At first I thought it was like one of the thousand dollar super computer nvidia cards but retail this card is like $300, what a trifling thing to sweat an employee over.
Unless they changed stuff 5060 = the worst of the newest generation
It might seem like a lot of fuss over a $400 item, but for some companies – and co-workers – there's no lower limit to pettiness. The fact the winner was an intern likely played a big part in him choosing to leave the firm, and the incident should have convinced him there are better places to work. Plus, he got to keep his RTX 5060.
Don't think I could think of a better take myself.
I bought a lotto ticket on a business trip once and won $500 bucks. My boss took it :(
People often ask me why I keep a very specific impersonal but still charismatic mask on at work and this is exactly why. I'll pretend to like you and pretend to care about my work but at the end of the day it's not me and I will never tell anyone I work with anything real about myself no matter how small. Can't take anything from me if you don't know what there is to take!
masking is fucking exhausting. im a marxist who works in IT for a finance company, i live with the contradiction every damn day.
Basically the same, some of my coworkers are nice and all, but they’re not really my friends.
Where do you live wtf?
I'm joking lol
Rare China L that the employers aren't being encased in carbonite for their attempted theft
Chinese lawyers ruled he was allowed to keep the card though.
That should have been a given once he quit imo but the employers should be actively punished
This is how much Nvidia graphics cards cost
Critical support to the Chinese PB for attempting to curb the scourge of gaming?
what is a 'stamp-collecting raffle'?
You get a card and have to go around all the kiosks collecting stamps. When you have all the stamps you become eligible for the raffle. It's an engagement trick at some events to get people to visit all stalls.
If it's like conventions in North America, you have a bunch of people who hand out stamps in a convention/space and sometimes you gotta' do stuff to earn them or you gotta' trade them with other people. I guess here maybe you get a ticket for each stamp or you get a raffle ticket for a complete set or something maybe. Or maybe the first person to complete the set gets the prize maybe.
