People often ask me why I keep a very specific impersonal but still charismatic mask on at work and this is exactly why. I'll pretend to like you and pretend to care about my work but at the end of the day it's not me and I will never tell anyone I work with anything real about myself no matter how small. Can't take anything from me if you don't know what there is to take!
masking is fucking exhausting. im a marxist who works in IT for a finance company, i live with the contradiction every damn day.
