Why wouldn't it be eligible, it's a film after all.
Yes it's also a music video but so is pretty much every Disney princess movie.

For a movie to be eligible, it needs to have a theatrical run that includes being in a number of theaters for a specific length of time. Since the film was strictly on a streaming platform it initially didn't qualify so Netflix released it in a handful of theaters to meet the minimum requirements.
Sounds like they need to update that rule.

Now here's what I wanna know.
The genre is called K-Pop.
If you look at the title, it actually says "K-Pop" in the title/logo. It's attached to the P, but there's clearly a dash there.
The movie's working title was "K-Pop: Demon Hunters" (note the added colon).
Yet nobody leaves the hyphen in, and the Wikipedia article on the film uses the hyphen in every instance of "K-Pop" except for in the title.
Maybe it's just me but that's fucking weird.
Still love the movie, and the soundtrack; hell, I got a sticker of them on my water bottle. Just kinda weird that they do the name like that and like nobody's asking. Maybe I'm weird for asking. Oh well. Never said I wasn't.
I loved this movie, hope it gets an award
Decent movie, but I feel like half the songs are so diconnected from the actual story.
Like the duet with Rumi and the demon-dude the first time they actually meet. They're all about having found their soulmate and shit, without knowing anything about eachother, and afterwards they're back to talking to eachother like they're complete strangers. I know this isn't exactly new in these kinds of movies, Disney has done it for about 60 years, but at least in other movies they actually seem to give half a shit about eachother after singing about their hidden love for this total stranger.
It just seems like most of the song were written before the story was written, to make sure the songs will carry the movie to success, instead of making something that actually makes sense.
