I'm not necessarily opposed to needing a third party account for a game. VRChat for instance requires it but that makes it easy to use your same account on many different devices/platforms.
That said, Sony has a long track record of leaks, hacks, terrible and outright illegal practices and is generally shitty to their customers. So no, hell no, I will not sign up with them for anything.

Honestly I had seen almost zero marketing. Had I not already been in a theater when the trailer came out I wouldn't have known this movie existed until seeing this lemmy post, at which point I would have shat my pants at the excitement of knowing there's a new mad max movie. So hopefully more people come out to see it now that word is getting around.
It's ok, those trucks all have crumple zones. The driver will be completely safe when the vehicle makes impact! /s

That's just it, I went in to see a Mad Max movie and that's what I got. Very satisfied! I think anyone complaining about this movie went in with the wrong expectations. I told my gf before the movie, "I want to see high speed chases, shit flying through the air, explosions, stunts and at last one thing I've never seen before.". I got all that shit and then some! Fuck yeah!
These have been in beta testing for awhile. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be for sale yet but I'm seeing a few sellers on AliExpress offering them for around $60.
VRChat just released on Pico about a week ago. I don't know if support for these has been implemented yet.
