IMPORTANT

Please do not post the "good friend" or similar copypasta

==========

Our galactic citizens have requested more specific rules, so here are a few.

The general idea is, if you're looking here for rules, you're probably someone who doesn't need to have them spelled out. You're fine. But anyway:

  1. This is a community for Star Wars memes. This means typically screenshots of Star Wars media with some text or context that's meant to be funny and/or thoughtful. All SW media is welcome: movies, games, comic books, fanart... Other kinds of content, like video links or meta memes (about this community, or Lemmy), are fine as well, just keep it on topic.

  2. We are all friends here, and love (sometimes love to hate) Star Wars. Be nice to each other.

  3. As fans of fictional media, we can be passionate. If you very strongly disagree with something or someone, take a deep breath before reacting. Anger leads to the dark side!

  4. Everything in Star Wars has happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, and it's a rich universe of millions of words and millions of years of history. So current Earthly matters really shouldn't concern us here. In other words, leave politics, philosophies and convictions behind the door. This applies even if it's about something related to Star Wars.

  5. Original content is preferred. Reposts are fine, just please limit to a maximum of 3 per day, per citizen. It is recommended, but not required, to mark original memes as (OC) and reposts as (repost).

  6. Local mods are the Jedi council. They may take actions that are necessary to maintain peace and stability of the Republic, even beyond the rules outlined here. Follow their guidance.

  7. Regular rules of the Lemmy.world instance apply.

That guide would come in handy during winter snow storms on the highway at night

Just close your eyes and ...... 'use the force'

"Punch it Chewy!"

I knew it would be this but I was hoping it was Animal Chin. Not disappointed though.

"Luke, you turned off your targeting computer. What's wrong?"

"Yeah, bro, I'm just gonna like, bring this bitch in on vibes, man. Knowwaimean? Lololol"

I kind of like the New Hope version of the Force, where it was entirely possible that it was just a superstition, and that some combination of luck and skill accounted for its supposed effects.

Same. Even by RotJ, other than final boss bad guy lightning, it wasnt that over powered. The prequals ruined it all.

Hey, it worked.

Now I want to get a frontend for a GPS that looks like that (and indicated when you should turn)

That would be a sweet dash screen. Make it show your distance to GPS target down to the 100th of a mile or km so you can see it move quickly.

It's Spaceball One... She's gone to Plaid.

Not sure, although it might be home made. I did find this though.

[–] AtariDump@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I did it several years ago; printed it out from the internet on a color printer.

[–] ooterness@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

OP looks more like fabric. I don't have access to the kind of printer that could make what's shown.

It also looks like it loops around the back? I don't know if sun-visors are standard enough to make a generic fit, or if this is a custom job.

[–] AtariDump@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

I thought so too but zoom in on the right hand side by the top of the mirror and it looks like a fabric band around something else (maybe paper - maybe cut from a T-shirt).

Either way, that’s going to fade pretty quickly if left in the sun no matter the paper/fabric/etc.

It looks like a square, with two straps holding it in place
