But it also isn't just any city but the city that has historically declared it's self the center of world trade. The NYSE is there, the WTC is there, the free market economy has been centrally planned in NYC for over a century. It's an important symbolic victory, even if it is mostly just a symbolic one.

Alternate earth thats mostly the same but because the commune occurred in Dijon modern communists use the Color Yellow to represent themselfs
