No demand, only protest only-throw

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 91 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Protesting for “rule of law” is a policy demand.

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 97 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Libs don't think that the existence of the status quo is a political decision because they fundamentally do not understand what capitalism or "liberal democracy" are.

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 51 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It’s a very childish view of politics. As in, a child thinks they live in the house they live in because that’s just the order of things, and not as a result of a financial transaction.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 31 points 3 months ago

of course, they're 12

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 46 points 3 months ago (4 children)

Libs think capitalism is when you buy things and liberal democracy is when you vote

[–] 10TH_OF_SEPTEMBER_CALL@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago

Capitalism? You mean market? Cosco?

[–] miz@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago (2 children)

capitalism is when you never use lowercase letters, duh

[–] context@hexbear.net 6 points 3 months ago

Actually kinda terrifying how accurate you are.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

Never get between a liberal and their emotional attachment to buying things. They literally think their god gives a fuck about human money changing hands. It’s beyond an emotional attachment. They honestly think it’s political, too.

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 79 points 3 months ago (1 children)

lol, saw so many Palestinian flags at the one here

[–] Drewfro66@lemmygrad.ml 65 points 3 months ago (1 children)

There are Palestine flags at all of the protests, lmao, except maybe some really lame ones out in the suburbs no-one cares about.

Don't let people like this define what a protest is about.

[–] AF_R@hexbear.net 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Absolutely zero at mine, and no, it wasn’t some “lame one out in the suburbs”

This is impotent liberal tantrum throwing and you know it

Where the libs this rabid back in Lenin's day? Shit like this makes me feel doomer over even attempting to even try and talk to these freaks.

[–] NuraShiny@hexbear.net 63 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They don't want change, they want the Nazis to do their righteous work without being so crass and visible about it.

[–] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 48 points 3 months ago

Lenin was right to diss the liberals on every chance he got.

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 30 points 3 months ago

within the first 2 pages of What is to Be Done? it becomes very apparent that 15 years before the successful october revolution, back in 1902 in the imperial periphery, lenin was looking down the same sort of barrel, dealing with the same sort of braindead bourgeois liberalism in all its stratified forms.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 28 points 3 months ago

the only thing libs will listen to is the barrel of a gun

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 25 points 3 months ago (1 children)

liberal antimonarchism meant more when there were actual monarchs around like the Tsar and even then they were feckless clowns

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

That’s such a hilariously good point.

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 25 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I went to my town square today with my Palestinian flag and got a lot of compliments from the old liberals there. Also one old lady had no idea what it was

I saw one other person with a poster about Palestine

[–] SwitchyandWitchy@hexbear.net 29 points 3 months ago

I saw quite a few Palestinian flags and people wearing keffiyehs at the one I went to which was nice to see. PSL was also there along with a few local leftist orgs as well.

And now darling of the liberals online. Just like Kinzinger.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 39 points 3 months ago

Democrats desperately trying to thread the needle of kinda needing this protest movement to have teeth to preserve their norms, as Joe Walsh basically admitted, and being mortified that the movement might ask for anything beyond the status quo.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 29 points 3 months ago

kings for thee, but not for me

[–] Rod_Blagojevic@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago (2 children)

What should be the scope of this "democracy" we're saving? Is it democracy at work? Are we collectively deciding whether or not our labor should be directed towards genocide in Palestine?

Oh, never mind. I'm just being ridiculous with these questions.

[–] tricerotops@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

put paper in box. say “damn” on X, the everything app.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

[–] DirtyPair@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago
