Are gundams as problematic as evangelions?
From what i seen it's half/half, most gundams are not more problematic than let's say jet fighters, just a weapons, but iirc there is some ubermensch/chosen one stuff there too.
I've only watched one and a half gundam series (witch from Mercury, and Turn A) so I don't think I've seen enough to make a proper assessment. That said, I would say yes and no?

The main protag's Suletta's gundam is a vessel for her dead sister in the same way that unit 1 in evangelion is Shinji's mum Yui, so they do explore themes about parental love, loss and devotion, but while gendo ikari is a detestable character for 90% of the series, Suletta's mum is a ruthless but largely charming character with similar motives to Gendo. They're quite interesting contrasts
Let's hope if the Zionists do try to attack, they hit Italy/Spain and trigger NATO Civil War. That's one Marvel movie I'd watch.

haven't read the statements so correct me if im wrong but it's most likely there to stop drone and small boat attacks and once the flotilla reaches near gaza they will cooperate with the IDF in order to extract their own citizen and leave the rest to rot.
