~~you mean other than jorkin it?~~
Food. Good god. I've been right on the line between obese and overweight for most of my life, but there was a brief period like 5ish years ago where I finally dropped like 30 pounds and got myself looking the way I wanted.

Then I started living on my own, and while that's been really good for me in a lot of ways... oh boy, I went hog wild. I've always enjoyed cooking and baking, but not having to worry about hijacking the kitchen (or anyone stealing the fruits of my labor!) meant I was making all kinds of cookies, brownies, babka, breads, bagels, I've made croissants from scratch a couple times... eventually I memorized my brownie recipe and I got into the habit of, several times a week, making a "single serve" brownie by just throwing everything into one little oven safe bowl (sorta like these) and then eating the whole damn thing.

Last week I made enough dough for 3 pizzas, so I did one basically normal, and then inspiration struck. For the second one I made a southern-style gravy and used that instead of tomato sauce, and then the last one turned into a dessert pizza. Made a chocolate sauce out of cacao powder, melted butter, sugar, and honey, and then topped it with shredded coconut. Holy fuck, so easy, so tasty, both fresh out the oven and cold out the fridge. Highly recommend. But anyway I ate all 3 pizzas in 2 days.

Surprisingly enough my weight's actually been trending downward this month. Maybe if I'm lucky it won't have to be such a guilty pleasure for too much longer lol

edit, I keep forgetting to take pics of the stuff I make or else I'd post about it, but at least I did take this one of the dessert pizzathis one

Do.... Do you want to get fucking married?

[–] BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca 10 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

lol sorry but you might regret marrying a straight man :(

especially after what i just said about not sharing!

[–] Stamets@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

I just require cuddles and leftovers. Imagination for the rest

[–] janonymous@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

I guess the sharing could be a problem

A can of Pringle chips

I secretly buy about three or four cans whenever we go grocery shopping. My wife's unwell so I have to do everything at the grocery store and most times I'm on my own. But in just about every trip I buy the chips and sneak them around the house and eat them myself. I love the stuff and my favorite is BBQ.

Sometimes I feel like some alcoholic sneaking bottles around the house. I have a can in the basement, one in the garage and always one by my desk. I keep track of them all to keep them fresh and renewed.

I have a problem don't I? ... yeah I know ... but I love it.

[–] baggachipz@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 weeks ago

They’re absolute garbage, and they’re amazing.

[–] Spider89@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

(I also do this with the purple Super Stack chips from my local Dollar Tree.)

Lidl sells these breaded camembert. You stick them in the oven until their top lifts, then you eat them with red whortleberry jam. Its basically half a kilo of molten cheese and jam, but it's great

[–] HurricaneLiz@hilariouschaos.com 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I did not know about whortleberries.

[–] porksnort@slrpnk.net 7 points 3 weeks ago

The flavor is similar to schnozzberry.

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!

Either that, or a nice cup of earl grey tea.

[–] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Nice cup of tea:

See your enemies driven before you:

Walking around town with a plug in.

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

So, real talk...you ever cough or sneeze and rocket it out onto the sidewalk?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 10 points 3 weeks ago

Only when it's getting time to go up a size.

Does it feel good

Incredibly so.

Sitting quietly in a room for hours at a time literally doing nothing. I once got curious and just sat in my living room for around 10h straight because I wanted to see what my living room and neighborhood was like at night. Im talking no phone, TV, or anything else just me sitting alone staring off chilling.

Fun fact: I average 3 cars an hour over night in my neighborhood and we aren't really a busy neighborhood off a couple side streets too. Some of the cars leave then come back a few minutes later. Probably drug dealers or something.

I'm a basic bitch: sugar, salt and fat.

[–] ArseAssassin@sopuli.xyz 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Um. I mean, I get what you mean. But two of those are essential nutrients.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

In moderation, they are... A brownie is not really essential 😄

I had a crush with whom I have never talked to but I still fantasize about them time to time creating scenarios in my head which will never happen. It's not healthy I know but makes me feel good feelings.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 6 points 3 weeks ago

at least its cheap. not the worst addiction.

Cigars. I only smoke one every month or two, but obviously tobacco isn't good for you. That acknowledgement aside, I really enjoy them, and have a humidor full of probably $2000 worth of cigars, many aged a couple years.

Watching romantic K-dramas. We start them together with my wife, because I would never choose to watch one alone, after a couple of episodes it usually slows down and she falls asleep for most of the rest of the series, and I watch it alone while she is sleeping on the sofa. Once she wakes up in between or at the end I summarize what she misses for her ^^

Oat milk lattes. I can't afford my own machine yet, so I have to pay someone else to do it. Dear god I'm poor, but it scratches a tiny itch that nothing else does.

negative stereotypes about the French

[–] ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I've been on a break for some months now, but weed. It's the only thing I really like that I feel somewhat guilty about doing. As much as others might disagree, I don't feel guilty for enjoying frozen pizza and cheap kebabs, or listening to girly 90s pop, or constantly using emojis to better express myself. 🤷

I had none.

If it brings me pleasure I feel no guilt.

I love all kinds of unhealthy food and drink. Cookies, chocolate, cake, cocktails, coffee (it's not necessarily unhealthy, but I get the runs) ... and with sweets, I also have a hard time pacing myself, pretty much the only way to avoid overeating is to not buy any at all.

Songs, books or movies to feel guilty about ... maybe all the sketchy anime I watch. e.g. monogatari series is definitely pedo shit, but it's also so damn well-made, and a lot of the pedo shit is pretty funny.

[–] Demdaru@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago

I'm weird. Playing nsfw games while trying to avoid nsfw. Some of them have cool stories and not shying away from mature themes make them much more enjoyable. And some are simply way too expansive sims, I swear that horny is the second biggest motivator for building life sims after dwarfs.

[–] HakFoo@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 3 weeks ago

Genshin Impact.

Yes it's a crappy casino for horny teenage boys, but damn if they didn't put a surprisingly decent game on the ground floor of said casino.

[–] funkajunk@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Beer.

I enjoy getting buzzed, but hard liquor or cocktails is never my first choice. Beer will always be my favorite.

[–] baggachipz@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 weeks ago

If it weren’t for beer, I would be in great shape, look better, and sleep better. I don’t care.

Peaches. I can't eat them without having a seriously bad time for a day or two. Still, if I see a Georgia peach that's soft I usually just deal with the consequences later. They've been the hardest fruit to give up.

Kanye is a terrible person and the lyrics are typical drivel… but god damn do I love the Daft Punk remix in “Stronger”. It distills the pure glitchtard joy of what daft punk did.

Alcohol, but I've cut back immensely in the past 4 years. Turns out you can't drink like you did in your 20s when you're in your 40s and expect to feel fine the next morning. I think I'm almost at the point where I'm gonna give it up entirely, or just have it on special occasions, because it's just not worth it anymore.

Haribo gummies. They give me awful reflux if I eat a bunch (which of course I always do), and they’re probably messing up my A1C royally also.

But goddamn.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It's probably the sugar, you should try the sugar free ones. Just eat a bunch of them the first time you try them!

Listening reggaeton.

There was a time when I completely despised the genre, more for my environment than for my own initiative; but now I can see the taste in it.

my favorite album is "Los Extraterrestre" by Wisin & Yandel.

I am 100% too old for it, but I absolutely LOVE the preschool level cartoon Franklin and to a slightly lesser extent the 2011( ? ) 3D CG reboot Franklin and Friends. I used to have one of the edutainment games ( the clubhouse one ) and the domino set as a kid and loved them.

Now, at some point if I ever live alone or at least not with family, want to get all of the PC edutainment games, the domino set, and the original books that weren't based off of an episode of the show. I will someday manifest my inner child's dream!

Edit:

And if there ever comes a time where there is an official box set of every episode out there in the original English dub, I would trample kids at the store to get it.

National Treasure is a mediocre movie that I will always watch the shit out of. It is the perfect balance of ridiculousness and action, and just always brings me joy.

Romantic movies. I love me a good romance movie or TV series where the characters go through all these tribulations, drama, or some sort of stressful situation but in the end they end up together and get married. I don't think anyone I know knows this, but I've cried to a few of them and I'm not a cryer. I love me a nice, happy, romantic ending.

[–] the_q@lemmy.zip 5 points 3 weeks ago

I have cptsd so everything is guilty.
