They've made this declaration every few years now. Where is the money going to come from? Cuz the republican budget bill cuts funding for that kind of stuff

This sounds fantastic but I do have a question or two.
- If the FAA is so short staffed on air traffic controllers how are they going to get controller feedback on the new system?
- How will they have time to train them on the new system?
They are gonna replace them with LLM subrotines…

On a serious note, because getting replacement hardware for systems as they die is becoming impossible very quickly.
Because the app was written by the lowest bidder using tutorials and O’Reilly books and nobody who actually cares enough about the problem to understand it is anywhere near a federal contract.
I was doing a bit. Windows peaked with XP and it's just gotten shittier since.
3.11 for Workgroups with vampire tap networking was peak.
I had a machine running 3 once. My first computer. Some IBM model I got from a flea market. Came with a set of DOS 1 disks. I got a DOS 3 set later and upgraded it. Couple years after that I got a Windows 3 set from a family friend when they upgraded to 98. My mind was blown. Solitaire and Skifree changed my life.
