a prime example of how the wealth is not just unfairly distibuted but completely wasted on those who benefit from its unfair distribution.

Look at this dude, look at elon, zuckerberg, bezos at. al. how much they require to feed their unhappiness

This combination of his innate personality and being brain damaged have left him uniquely vulnerable. I think this is the most accountability I have ever heard of a US politician submitting to.

Its cute how resentful he is.

i don't approve, but i can understand avoiding the monday morning "bed check" votes (assuming they are as described: procedural/pointless) to spend more time with family, especially during a personal crisis. he should get his ass to work, but i understand the impulse.

HOWEVER, in the article he talks about how the committee meetings are also a waste of his time, specifically because as a junior member, he can't ask questions during interviews until the senior members have finished. so basically, by the time its his turn to pose questions, all the good ones have been asked. he illustrates this by comparing it to going to a buffet after everyone has had the good shit.

this absolutely betrays what a unrepentant self-serving asshole he is. the point of going to a meeting to interview someone in committee is NOT to get time in the sun asking questions. it's to hear the fucking answers of the questions being asked and be present for them. this guy is explicitly saying it's pointless because he isn't able to be the center of attention for the theatrical part of it.

Sorry boss I've decided to spend more time at home and less on the mundane tasks of feeding people. I'll still come by for my paycheck though

In 13 months, the last 6 congressional deaths have been democrats. The reason the big beautiful bill passed was because 3 democrats died this year.

This is the bill that is going to add to the deficit, make lower class pay more taxes and cut taxes for the rich, and require $1000 to seek asylum. They held the vote at 1AM to hide it from their constituents.

Why don't he just go on sick leave and let some substitute take over if he's too sick to perform the tasks he was elected to do? Is he really that narcissistic?

[–] WizardOfLoneliness@hexbear.net 23 points 1 month ago

He didn't say he was too sick, he just doesn't feel like doing his job
