Learning their lesson late is better than never learning it at all. You question it like it’s a bad thing, but it’s good that he’s realizing that those actions are terrible and getting mad about it. Especially when he has influence and can get others mad about it too. Yes, in an ideal world everyone would always be on the client side, but I’d rather people jump sides than to double down on being wrong.
I sincerely doubt Rogan has learned his lesson. There is zero indication that he won't go right back to slurping the ass of the next dictator wannabe while, again, being completely oblivious to the possible consequences.

These sorts of spats really serve to appease doubts in the echo chamber. Rogan and Trump fighting proves the existence of critical thoughts delivering validation to their supporters. We know it's all performative.
