Do I should let them take my family with no consequence because they're using human shields?

No, my side is strong enough to get them back. Screw the terrorists and those that harbour them. They can try to retaliate, and they can die until they won't fight back anymore.

People these days seem to think there's a diplomatic solution for everything. They need to go read a nonfiction history book, because they are currently in the fiction section.

Nah, we're far too resourceful to be killed by climate change.

It may take out large chunks of the global population, but we will adapt with technology to be able to still sustain billions of humans.

Humans are social animals, you're the odd one out here from a social perspective, not that you're not entitled to that choice but choices have consequences.

I'd suggest just ignoring them. You aren't going to find a better work environment anywhere else unless you literally have no coworkers.

Still considered a laptop, they have low power modes for unplugged use.

[-] BlameThePeacock@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

The only problem I have with this is that USB-C PD can only go to 240w, which is fine for most laptops but my current gaming laptop has a 240w power brick and it only has a 3060 in it. The 3080 and 3090 variants had 300w+ bricks IIRC.

I don't live in India, but I hope gaming laptops get some sort of exception if their power draw can exceed the specification limits.

3500 pills? That doesn't seem like a lot.

After a bit of googling, it turns out it isn't. There are a little over 4500 active prescriptions for it in BC as of April, at up to 28 pills per day for some users.

They're trading it in for harder stuff, or even just money for food in some cases according to other articles.

"no proof of an illicit deal"

The money IS the proof of the illicit deal, they gave him money when there was no legal or reasonable reason to give him money.

"We wanted to just give away money" isn't a legal reason for anyone who isn't recording for a you tube channel at this point.

What do people hope to get out of watching an MMA fight?

Same answer here, they're just looking for entertainment. They have a man they like in the ring, and they're hoping he throws a few good punches at that other bad guy.

My abortion was okay, it was for a republican politician's baby, and he flew me out of state

Surprise surprise, a Conservative who's got a past full of hate.

This is the true Canada, open to all ideas. Let's keep it this way.

Personally, it seems stupid not to have a liaison in high schools. This is where teens establish "bad" patterns, and every single one they manage to save early is one less problem for decades in the future.

Intent to injure?

Based on that call, any sort of pushing or shoving should be called.

Unfortunately, it looks like he's going to elected in a couple years. I just hope people remember after a term of the Conservatives cutting important environmental policies like the carbon tax, that they will have failed to make like more affordable AND fucked up the environment more.

The conservative parties that won in the UK didn't manage to make things more affordable, the conservative party that won in Australia didn't manage it either, no party anywhere has managed it.

This crisis isn't caused by local government zoning policies, approval red tape, or anything else that the parties are talking about. It's caused by landowners (including people who own only one property) using a home as an investment.

You cannot have homes appreciate in value faster than inflation (investments) and also have affordable housing. It's impossible. That's literally just a pyramid scheme.

Until the government starts implementing policies that start reducing existing home prices, this will not be fixed. Building more units doesn't do this unless you build impossibly (literally impossible) large numbers.

So stop voting with your emotions and vote with your brain.
