Lol I remember seeing some kind of graphic of the Japanese corpos that were presenting the switch with a bunch of hog writing saying "look at how unwoke this is! No women, no dyed hair, and no LGBT+ anything in sight!"
Seeing that then seeing this feels a bit cathartic as I imagine their squeals of dismay and confusion.

Pretendo has online working for Splatoon 1 and MK8 on Wii U. Not sure if that works via CEMU or not. But I've been playing it and it's cozy as fuck.
We should all play the PS2 dothack MMO with the working online and English patch. Or PSO or something.
Break out the dreamcasts and the GameCube with online for PSO. Lol. Those servers still running? I’d run me some of my namesake
Yeah, the Dreamcast, GC (and GC via Wii), and PC versions still have private servers. XBOX version I think is being looked at via Insignia for XBOX.
Nice I may have to try and get PC version running then. See if it still hits the same spot, cuz PSO2:NG does not.

they had the tooling available to do that on switch one and added it to their dev portal and everything, but no-one went for it

Is there any info on how much processing power it'd use up on a console? NSW1 definitely didn't have much power, memory, or storage to spare for such things.
not that i've seen but it takes quite a chunk of system resources on pc, so i would assume it's going to be similar for the console

Mario Kart is adding a mid looking open world mode that nobody asked for
Donkey Kong is consistently one of their best franchises though
