Finally, tex-mex can simply be called mexican food.

Personally, I'd rather see the map of north America be as colourful as a map of Europe rather then less colourful than it is now.

California, Oregon, Washington and BC all need to be united under one country. Cascadia :)

Mexico really would get the short end of the stick.

[–] TrueStoryBob@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

How? On this map, they're getting Texas and California... two states which each individually have the GDP of a G20 country while Canada only gets one, New York. This map would make Mexico the largest economy in the world.

[–] DrownedRats@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

Yeah, but on the other hand they get Texans, californians, and crucially, Floridans.

[–] Darkhoof@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

And Alabama. And Mississippi.

Map should say

Gulf of

  • ~~Mexico~~

  • ~~America~~

  • Mexico

This would be the only instance I would ever say that I'd love to live in a red state.

Move that green up, I need better tacos.

[–] Brickhead92@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago

Por quΓ© no both eh?

[–] SlippiHUD@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago

The only timeline where I'd be okay calling it the Gulf of America.

[–] multicolorKnight@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

I think I could be happy ending up in either... Street tacos vs. Tim Horton's.

I speak passable Spanish, and Mexican food is awesome. Β‘Con mucho gusto!

Oh wait, I live in Seattle. Sounds good, eh?

[–] Jarix@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Point Roberts area maybe, one of those "why is this a different country" places on the maps

[–] MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca 7 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Never forget, there's some good fishin' in Quebec.

I'll see you around bud. I'm going for a rip.

Damnit, now I live in Canada and work in Mexico.

[–] w3dd1e@lemm.ee 7 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

Same. But at least we’re close to the border.

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 1 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

The US seems to be killing itself; give it a couple more months and we'll just have to walk down to the border and shake hands with our new Amigos.

There ought to be a UN controlled buffer zone, to avoid the creation of monstrosity like Poutine tacos.

Well now that you've said it, we can't just go and put that genie back in the bottle!

Can we split California? Northern Cal just seems like it should be Canadian honestly.

Maryland is left out. I was going to ask if they're going to be the United States. But that's one state... The One State of America.

[–] Hozerkiller@lemmy.ca 11 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

I was going to say America still has Hawaii, but the Hawaiians have been through enough.

[–] MothmanDelorian@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago

Hawaii has Hawaii, no?
