In a stunning, pre-trial win in New York attorney general's all-out war on the Trump Organization, a Manhattan judge has found that Donald Trump committed fraud for years by inflating his worth to banks and insurers by as much as $3.6 billion a year.
A strongly-worded ruling by state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron rejected outright Trump's request for a range of pre-trial victories, calling his arguments "rehashed" and "erroneous."
Instead, the judge gave a major victory to Attorney General Letitia James, immediately revoking Trump's license to do business in New York.
"It's the corporate death penalty," said Diana Florence, a veteran financial crimes prosecutor for the Manhattan district attorney's office, now in private practice.
"This ruling essentially dissolves his company," she said, though she predicted that years of appeals may pass before anything actually happens.

sigh that last quote about it getting tied up in appeals is the shitty part. It'll hang in limbo and trump will die without ever seeing a consequence. He'll die thinking (and largely correctly) that he won.

Says the judge revoked ALL of his business certificates in New York. Trial will continue to assess damages he must pay.
But if he declares bankruptcy ? Plus he can just hide his business in shell companies or his kids
Bankruptcy isn’t a get out of debt free card. It’s a “you’re gonna sell this stuff to pay off your creditors” card.
His sons were involved in the lawsuit and cannot legally do business in New York.
It's effectively no longer his to be declared bankrupt, the NY state will be appointing people to control it. This is the one he can't escape from

I'm not sure what restrictions will be when he obviously tries to appeal. Can't go to his sons though since they're also affected by the order.
Just think about it. You're born filthy rich. You inherit 500 million dollars, in the 1980's. You learn to live off of loans from banks, how to inflate the worth of your "properties," and how to deflate the worth of your "properties" to scam banks, because unlike your father, you're an absolute moron when it comes to making an honest buck. Even with the army of lawyers and accountants you inherited from dad.
So when American and European banks stop loaning you money because you default on all your loans, you need a new source of income. Your best bud Super New York Mayor Man ruined your daddy's connections with the Pizza Guys, so when some guy who sounded like Chekov from Star Trek called and said he wanted to buy 50 condos at the same time, you knew God was Real.

We have no idea how much running for president was Trump idea, vs Russia’s. Trump didn’t want the job, Melania definitely didn’t want him to win, and Trump thought about running a few times before but never cared to do it. He just doesn’t have the balls himself, he’s a huge coward. And Russia provided a lot of assistance and benefited immensely from it. More so than Trump himself.
So I’m betting there was a call in 2014 or 2015 between Russia and Trump. My bet is there was blackmail or promises made if he ran.

A trial, scheduled for next month, must still be held to determine if Trump and company executives acted intentionally.
Someone make a meme with the guy deciding which button to push. And one button is trump is so smart he is an excellent businessman and the other is trump is innocent and he had no idea his company was committing mass fraud.
