Can’t comment on whatever the fuck mms is but they’re not wrong about the medical history regarding the treatment of women. Which leads to distrust from women and looking elsewhere for solutions to their problems.

Which only makes this worse. They’re harming women under the guise of offering something conventional medicine won’t.

Totally agree

The only time drinking bleach makes sense is disinfecting water, I think the recommended amount is a ~~teaspoon~~ few drops of bleach per gallon of untreated water.

Anything else is woo woo shit.

GAK! That's way too much bleach, my friend! From the epa.gov: if 6% bleach then 8 drops per gallon of water, if 8.25% bleach then 6 drops per gallon.

Please check your numbers when posting stuff like this, it's easy to do, and prevents someone in the future from ~~thinking you are an idiot~~ using a harmful amount of bleach in an emergency.

Woops. Well don’t get your survival info from random people on lemmy who are too lazy to fact check their memory lol.

[–] AtariDump@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

(It would be helpful if you went back and edited out the incorrect info)

It's common to put bleach in wells to disinfect

[–] inv3r5ion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah same idea but bigger quantity

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

And it gets pumped until the bleach is gone before using again.

I'll tell you what MMS is.

There are natural solutions for ..

Yes, nothing more natural than hosing out your inner self with chlorine dioxide. What could possibly go wrong..

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 34 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I have ...

No, you haven't.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago

That's ridiculous, you really think somebody would lie on the internet in order to scam people into buying fake medicine?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

As a non-vagina owner... isn't douching just a bad idea period? I think I've read that before.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

It is. Your vagina is like a self cleaning oven. You just need to mildly soap it.

[–] Bgugi@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I don't see the problem, bleach is great for sterilizing things!

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 9 points 1 month ago

And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the [uterus] and it does a tremendous number on the [uterus], so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me.

Wait, no, not like that

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Seems reasonable, if you douche immediately after sex. Otherwise, that virus locks on. Forever. Don't ask how I know.

[–] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 month ago

Because you learned about lysogenic viruses in school!

I had to give birth without anything for the pain once and I think I'd rather do that again. Wtf
