My reflex is that she would cease to be alive in short order.

Maybe that would be too chaotic, so other options would be pursued, but I would be very surprised if she was able to force any kind of pivot with material consequences.

I imagine it would be similar to what happened with Biden and Obama when Biden endorsed same sex marriage and they just had to run with it.

Probably wouldn't change much but if she did it I would probably grudgingly vote for her.

I think it would be completely ignored by all media. Either no coverage at all, or if it couldn't be immediately contained the news cycle would move on after 12 hours and would be quickly "forgotten". Meanwhile she would be disciplined quietly to act as though it had never happened or otherwise neutralized.
