I really never understood where the whole "honhon" comes from
I think it primarily comes from American cartoon culture. Little mermaid had it in 1989 but I know ive seen it in others. Probably even Looney tunes
It's a USA thing as far as I understand, for some reason many of them don't realize with say haha the same way as they do.

Even though I am not a Star Trek fan (yet), I still see them very often, as a poster and a moderator alike. Big thanks to them for keeping the Fediverse great!
Meme recognition, the ultimate legacy.
I appreciate their efforts, but if we want Lemmy to succeed as a network it needs to be something other than just another endless feed of mindless content.
