If you translate it word for word it in means punch(Schlag) lines(Zeilen), but together headlines. And the word for punchline in German is "Pointe". Übermenschen Sprache.

This is not unique to Germany :norway-cool:

Edit: Like seriously, half the headlines I see in Norway are about horrible things, and it's phrased in such a way that it makes you think it's local news UNTIL you actually click on it and see "in Arkansas" or some shit and I'm just like "OK it's still horrible but WHY is this supposed to be newsworthy"
