You are correct, only a few left:

https://status.d420.de/

Reason below:

All Nitter public instances shut down.

There are no public instances left for you to use.

Why ?

Nitter has already been struggling to keep up with the changes Twitter made on their side after 2022.

In January 2024, the Twitter API used by Nitter to fetch data from Twitter got shut down.

Without this, there is no way to run instances on the scale needed for the public instances that got listed here.

That's unfortunate. But I still want to use Nitter !

If you want to continue running Nitter, you can do so using a normal Twitter account.

Do note however, that this cannot and will not scale, and is in a legal grey-area. Proceed at your own risk.

See here for setting up Nitter if you feel brave enough and don't fear the command line.

But there are some instances ?

Through he thankless work of some there is a tiny amount of instances left. These will be slow and can not expose RSS to prevent the huge volume bot attacks. The latter one also makes captchas and other anti-botting methods a requirement.

Just get your weird shit from their patreons. Or like, kemono.su if you're horny and broke.

What's so special about twitter porn?

[-] corus_kt@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago

Same reasons as to following game devs and artists on twitter: updates, work in progress posts, and teaser trailers - first hand news without relying on third party sites

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

Fediverse game devs and artists are much better.

Here's the Mastodon account for my game engine is someone is interested: @PixelPerfectEngine@peoplemaking.games

I personally left Twitter, since it not only diminished my reach thanks to the implementation of Twitter Blue, but also was an increasingly toxic place (and it begin with being a toxic place in the first place, thanks to algorithms), which didn't bring the best out of me.

People anticipating porn like a marvel movie, can't believe it

One-hand news you mean

poast.org is run by neo Nazis?

[-] hellfire103@lemmy.ca 10 points 4 months ago

Looks like it is. I had noticed a few Mastodon and Misskey instances blocking poa.st, but I didn't realise it was the same as poast.org.

Good thing there are other instances now!

Why not try running your own local instance of Nitter? No Nazis that way. I would if I used Twitter more.

I think there might be a connection between poast-dot-org and poa-dot-st. The latter is a Neo-Nazi Pleroma instance. I haven't seen any proof that the domains are connected. Might not be.
