I really enjoyed the last joker, there isn't a single chance I'll watch this.
I thought that at first as well. However, and I hope this is the case, it's really interesting to think about how dark a Joker musical could actually get.
Let's just say I am very intrigued about where it could go. Taking a character like the Joker, sticking him in a musical while possibly making a slight crack in the fourth wall could create something super interesting.
Him being slightly aware that he is just a musical character would probably give his character a ton of validation about his unique interpretation of life. That is a scary thought, actually.
Unfortunately I have to agree. I loved the first one but musicals are so cringe... I just can't stand them.
