What would happen if someone started a GoFundMe for trump and just forgot to give the money to trump?

Is grifting a grifter even wrong?

[-] Evilcoleslaw@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago

It's already been done. One of the organizers got pardoned and the other is in federal prison.

[-] AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 months ago

... I wonder if it could work if you actually gave some of the money to Trump but keep most of it as a "salary" and "administrative fees"?

[-] aniki@lemm.ee 3 points 9 months ago

You mean like all those border wall go-fund-mes? I think a few of them went to prison and the rest got away.

[-] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 3 points 9 months ago

Oh the delicious irony!

$790,573 raised of $355,000,000 goal

After four days.

If the courts can just defer the judgment for another few days or weeks… or 4.8 years he’s all set!

[-] Evilcoleslaw@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Hey if they sustain this rate of participation the GoFundMe should satisfy the judgement in about 6.5 years according to my back of the napkin math. (Assuming the 9% interest compounds annually.)

[-] radicalautonomy@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

My front of the napkin math says that with 9% interest compounded monthly, he would need to pay a little over $6 million per month for 6.5 years in order to pay off the $355 million judgment plus almost 32.5% more in interest.

I want that motherfucker so broke he can't even afford to buy a napkin to write on, let alone use to wipe his smarmy-ass mouth.
