The weirdest thing about this whole conflict heating up is how Israel has started insisting that there is a secret cabal of Hamas agents that secretly rules the world. You'd think that if any group of people would know how bullshit that sort of thing is...
The criticisms aimed at the South African delegation are decomposing into little more than slurs. Might as well just start referring to the ambassadors as "You people" and telling them to pull their pants up during the hearings.
But they've got the US doggedly defending their corner. The rest of the EU states seem to be aligned with a heavily armed enclave of Europeans embedded in an Arab region. And after that, who else matters?
The Israelis know how this is going to shake out. South Africans will make their case. Israelis will retort with "Hamas say what?"
And then they'll vote.
How long before we see Israel apologists go full pro-Apartheid, I wonder
