I went back to the queer coded thrift shop and once again the people working were the best. They confirmed that what I got actually matched and looked good, and I showed them a picture of what I already had at home and they told me what would work with it. I was a dollar short of being able to pay in cash, and they waved me off and said don't worry. So of course I said thank you, and then ran to my car to get enough change to pay them in full. They really weren't expecting that and we just thanked each other back and forth until I left.I got some blue flowy/stretchy pants and a blue floral patterned top that look cool together. It 100% looks like an outfit my grandma would wear to the beach (huge compliment). And I also got an awesome pair of high waisted jeans that make my ass look amazing, along with a beige/neutral button down kind of dress shirt. I'm hoping that I can mix and match enough of them together with some of my masc clothes to have a decent set of options going forward. Now I just need some shoes!
I'm excited to pick Dr. Partner up from their work trip tomorrow ~~and surprise them with another new outfit! Unless of course they have enough cell service and free time to be reading the trans mega in the mean time, in which case~~
