Okay ive never been on a ship before so i'm talking out of my doodoo ass but 9 months on an aircraft carrier isn't that fucking long lol they're acting like they're circumnavigating the globe with fuckin Magellan drinking grog and eating hardtack, bunch of fuckin babies
it actually is crazy long I'd think as someone who's been on a cruise before (with an unlimited alcohol pass btw) and also has toured the Intrepid (although that's like a WW2/Vietnam era aircraft carrier so a lot worse than the Lincoln which was built the same year the Intrepid was decomissioned as a museum. You think 'oh well they have ice cream and internet it can't be that bad' but ships/aircraft carriers are as tiny inside as they are huge outside. I wouldn't wanna spend 9 months hot-cotting with 1-2 other people while the showers are broken and we're eating slop food because Iran's fucked up all our logistics.
Its also a grueling fucking job, you're often doing a full 16 hour days during combat operations for 6-7 days a week. Doing that without enough food for so fucking long will destroy you. Let alone youre also in the middle of the indian ocean around heavy machinery and salt water spray.
You can't go anywhere. It's just aircraft carrier everywhere around you. Shitty food, shitty hygiene, shitty people. I think I'd rather be in prison tbh.

I mean i guess but i'm only willing to give you that because Iran is capable of Doing Something to an aircraft carrier, otherwise i would honestly say ye olde sailours sailing around the world the hard way had it way tougher with way worse conditions and, as everyone knows, everything must be compared like it's the misery olympics
