I'm going to make these weekly because daily is a bit hard to keep on top of. So from now on these wil be every posted every Monday (US time) Once a week is enough, right? Still not sure what comm I should post these in, because c/bloomer is locked. Maybe I should post them in c/doomer as a joke? Also, if anyone has any ideas for me to make these better, tell me! Anyway, as always:
Here it is, the daily thread to share all things good and positive!
Did you make strides in unionizing your work place recently?
Hear about a strike?
See a cool bug?
Help out a comrade?
If so, share it with us in the comments here! It doesn't matter big or small! This is a space to recharge and remind yourself what you're fighting for.
Comment anything here, as long as it's good vibes!
I had to pay rent online this morning because new property management has everything going through a fucking app, so I forgot my debit card on my desk after setting it up and didn't notice until I was ordering tacos from the taqueria on my way to work.
Thankfully I go there all the time and so they hooked me up with 4 crunchy tacos on the promise I will pay for them on my way to work tomorrow.
Someone is getting a fat fucking tip.
Hell yeah, taquerias are the glue that hold this country together
Yeah I seen them straight up just give a free plate of food to a homeless dude because he came in and waited patiently off to the side for there to be a lull and just asked for a burrito.
That's so awesome. True comrades
I live in California and for every reactionary (usually white passing) latino there are dozens of real comrades in the community.
Look up Barrios Unidos for some good bloomer shit.
The true revolutionary potential in the imperial core lies with colonized peoples. This is what led me to joining up with Sungmanitu and the Chunka Luta network.
Ayyyye when I was at UCSC I wanted to intern there! But then I thought about it long and hard and figured it wasn't my place as a white person lol I did end up getting a real cool internship though. Now I'm wondering which taqueria it was...
I agree with you 100 percent on that. I'm just starting to read theory, and after I get a good foundation I really want to focus on writings by and about non-white Marxists and socialist movements. The whole concept is meaningless if we don't center colonized people and their interpretations and perspectives imo
