Someone talked to him about Japan right before, wires got crossed. Biden did the same thing with some head of state, and people overreacted to that, too. Of all the dumb shit he says, this is a weird thing to make a big deal of.
Compared with other nonsense he's said, it lends itself to very clear visual jokes which can be shared easily. Also, it's not like the other nonsense isn't made a big deal out of for a day or two at least, this one is just the freshest. Covfefe is still around.
Ridiculing it is fine. Going "How can you confuse Iran and Japan" or treating it as the definitive proof that his mind is cooked is weird.
Who is using anything as proof of anything? You're in a shitposting community.
I'm not discussing the post. I'm making a general observation while responding to a statement in the comments.
Okay, I also haven't seen anyone using the Iran/Japan thing as proof of anything outside of this post. People know he's not well and not only since yesterday.
It's certainly not definitive proof his mind is cooked. It's yet another bit of evidence to throw on the enormous, and ever-growing, heap of evidence.
And yet, Republicans gave Biden shit about being senile for his entire term for making dumb mistakes like that, calling for him to be impeached over his declining mental health.
We're just taking every opportunity to point out the hypocrisy. Obviously no Republican would ever break rank to impeach Trump even if he really were senile.
