I believe you. But have you considered simply not tasting the alcohol so you can experience the world of liquor flavors? We have licking an oak plank, thin wine, water with a hint of potato, ??? overpowered by sugar, ???, gin, tequila, and if you come to China, you can try: rice, drinking perfume, soup you added random seasoning to but no salt or even soup, and then perfume, and finally literally soy sauce.
Ok but I actually do like tequila and gin and plank, and I suspect I would enjoy a fine sipping perfume as well
