floating toilet. my gf sometimes would bring up going on a cruise and no, i dont think i will be.
Went on a family reunion cruise once like 15 years ago and everyone got horribly sick lmao the reputation is accurate.
Thing is, isn't it like a quarantined environment? Why is it prone to sickness and not backwards?
Nah, it's not quarantined at all. You get off at various stops along the cruise (or at least ours did).
Regardless, I think it's mostly food poisoning from the buffets since I doubt they have very high food safety standards. IIRC most cruise ship staff are also borderline enslaved so it's not like they give much of a shit either.
Got it, never been to a cruise so idk how it works. Thanks!
Libertarian dream boat, 0 (food safety) regulations
pre covid i could've been talked into it for free with the right accomplices, but now never
I went on one pre-Covid. Only time I ever had a chance to see Leningrad. Totally worth it. The Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad was legit awe inspiring.
Maybe a river cruise since, but definitely not an ocean cruise.
yea i only meant long cruises that take days, nevermind weeks. A river cruise that takes 3 hours probably won't give me a deadly virus.
There are some that take a week or so, but they usually stop in each destination for a day or so and you aren't really on the boat unless you're traveling to the next spot at night.
