I can never get over the fact that Chapo and Trueanon together make half a million dollars a month

That's so much money. Do they have any transparency about what they do with it? With that much money I'd expect them to have plenty to donate even after covering expenses and giving themselves high wages

The only time I've seen them comment at all about it was in the Vanity Fair interview they had last year, where they mentioned Virgil is still getting a cut. Amber started a movie production company which I think they all invested in.

I think most of them still rent their homes and they all live in LA or NYC, so I'm sure their landlords are getting a good cut at least

Wasn't Virgil credibly me-too'd and didn't Amber cozy up to some weird radlibs, or am I misremembering?

Idk, if I ran something like this I think I'd be posting the receipts like "yeah we donated X$$$ amount to these Palestinian funds this month which was Y% of our profit". (OTOH maybe they do and I don't see it because I'm not on their Patreon)

Yup, that's how I remember it too. Someone said Virgil had been in their DMs when they were a teenager and he responded by ending his entire online life, which was his entire career. Every so often I check and his name is still on the Bad Faith Podcast's logo on youtube lmao

I was subscribed to the patreon for years and they never had any sort of elucidation on how their money worked. Out of curiosity I just searched their posts for the word 'donate' and before 2020 they used to put relevant donation links in the episode description sometimes, last being the George Floyd Bailout Fund by my quick look. They never did a 'we will match donations' kind of thing to even suggest how much they were giving themselves
