Its laughable howuch they're huffing their own supply, however - thinking windows is one of the most used technologies (what, after radio, eftpos and whatnot! Theyre so fucking proud its revolting...)
As to whether the shareholders will allow them to claw back these AI hooks, who knows? I for one, doubt it. Hard...
I genuinely is, though. But it's because they are a near-monopolist, a position they got because of anticompetitive (i.e. illegal) practices. Not because people like their tech so much.
That's nothing to android being over 3 times larger in install base (hard to get total #s however).
Sure windows rules PCs but the technology isn't that prevalent, and there are far more all encompassing technologies out there - these guys just like the sound of their own voice
