Unless I'm mistaken and forgetting one of Pete's... Pete has "Nazi" tattoos (the crosses and "infadel") whereas Platner had a NAZI tattoo like the SS would've had on their uniform.

Distinction without difference here maybe idk

Pete Hegseth has crusade tattoos to symbolize that he's a christian fascist who is religiously motivated to kill Muslims. He thinks that the tattoos represent a war against Muslims and he wants to kill Muslims.

I don't a see a distinction between American Christian Fascists and German Fascists.

It's that thing where conservatives are nazis and love nazis, but for some their American nationalism overrides all else so they can have their cake and eat it too by rhetorically condemning one very specific historical batch of nazis and their symbols, while advocating for all the same shit. Similar to "democrats are the real racists" while also being wildly, proudly racist.
