yes, Saturday... make sure you cause no disruption and clean up after so you can go back to work Monday... that'll show the Orange Pedophile who is in charge
Do you actually hate the idea of pragmatism? Like, do things have to be perfect or else they don't matter to you? I'm of the opinion that perfect is the enemy of progress. The fact of the matter is, most people have jobs, bills, obligations, families, and so on. It's inconvenient, obviously, to take time off outside of the weekend and it's ridiculous to expect the average person to choose between putting their job/career in peril versus just having the protest at a time that's convenient for the largest number of people possible. So strange that it's even remotely controversial. Also, with opinions and comments like this, it's basically on the same level as the people who were commenting "why don't these people have jobs" and "why aren't these people in church" that dominated conservative social media during the last 2 national protests -- despite those also falling on a Saturday. Some people, many people, no matter what, cannot accept that these things take time to build and regardless of the nazis and fascism, still need to cater to the largest possible potential number of people as possible.
Also donating to legal funds, to people needing groceries in MN, going to smaller community organizing... glad to hear other actions, but I don't think being visible as a large group hurts, even if by itself it doesn't overthrow the usurpers.
