Feel free to post venting posts! As the mod, that somehow feels like inappropriate behavior for me.

I need to see the actual wording of the ballot questions. Sometimes they make it seem like a yes when it's actually a no. All of them sound good except I know nothing about number one.

Just a reminder, rapid onset gender dysphoria is a fiction invented by anti trans activists. In short, there is absolutely no evidence this is happening, all of the supposed study data comes from testimony of specifically anti-trans parents, and all of the medical treatments have been extremely conservative and hard to get by kids under the age of 18.

I hope not, but even if it does, and people still switch over to heat pumps, it would be a net benefit to society, so I'm still happy about it.

Agreed. Although...

While the whole thing was pretty ridiculous, I think it showed the value of the emergency broadcast system. I felt informed and up to date.

Yeah, was she remorseful because she was tricked or because she did something atrocious?

[-] borebore@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would think this would be free forever. The idea is to encourage adoption.

I'm sure that will drive down prices. Or maybe it works like trickle down economics. If the grocery chains are super rich then they will all hire us for really good wages and then that's how we'll get money.

[-] borebore@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Yeah, it is blaming the bad situation on competition from small businesses, which makes no sense. Stop and Shop is not big enough and just can't seem to figure out how to lower prices with all this competition /s.

[-] borebore@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Yeah, their argument is basically "if only we had a corporate monopoly to take care of us, all the prices would be low because the company would be just so super efficient"

I posted this a bit late to protect anyone, but I wasn't aware this was a thing, so maybe it can increase awareness. Not sure how important or dangerous this is to the people it affects.
