Maybe I'm paranoid, but this seems like an opportunity for someone to do a false flag attack that would justify full military occupation. Again, maybe I'm paranoid.

I think they may have already tried several times just that they're so far detached from reality that they false flagged things nobody really cares about. Like Charlie Kirk, faking that assassination attempt on trump, I think there was a xitter hack they tried to make a hullabaloo about...
