Image is of a protest in San Diego against ICE.
On January 7th, 37-year-old Renee Good was murdered by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. While a considerable amount of the discussion online has been about the direction her wheels were turning and things like that, truthfully, I think it's just fundamentally bad to shoot a person to death with a gun if you happen to be a state mercenary enforcing an incredibly racist federal policy, regardless of the circumstances.
The murder has since prompted a wave of vigils and protests, not only in Minneapolis, but also in virtually every major city in the country. The demands are justice for Good in particular, and the abolition of ICE in general, to avenge its many victims. The Trump administration has done all they can to inflame the situation, designating Good a "domestic terrorist" and saying that the agent who shot her will be immune from prosecution.
Protests and resistance to this administration's policies have, encouragingly, had an element of international solidarity - not only are flags from countries throughout Latin America (and also Palestine) present, but speakers in protests have even been actively condemning the recent imperialist actions against Venezuela. For it is, of course, one joint struggle. The imperial boomerang always returns - and in the modern day, it returns rapidly.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

The US already has a base there though so I don't get it
The US already effectively controls Greenland, with a military base and of course Denmark being an incredibly willing and eager vassal state. But Trump doesn't care about the US empire getting full benefit from controlling Greenland while not paying any costs for it, he wants to show Greenland being a US territory on a big map and say that Trump did this. Just like the US is stealing oil from Libya and Syria, but Trump doesn't care about that, because that oil money is going into secret accounts that are used to find terrorist organizations. He wants big headlines saying "Trump steals oil from Venezuela".
This is very lib brained of me, but I honestly believe he will rename Greenland to Trumpland (or Freedomland, or something to that effect) after it becomes a US territory. The Gulf of America is the precedent I’m taking inspiration from.
Kirkland
IIRC Peter Thiel wants to set up his own fiefdom there. Peterland.
I think he's going to have to go for Petoria
Red, White, and Blueland was the name officially proposed by some Republican congressman months ago.
I have no idea what Trump is doing (and probably nobody does lol) but here’s a thought:
I think the goal is still to break up the EU. The libs are pushing for war against Russia, but there is a growing sentiment in the form of nationalist parties that want to de-escalate and make peace with Russia. They could start winning elections very soon.
How do you ensure that the EU/NATO militarize to the end? Well, if the US is imposing a military threat, both the libs and the nationalists will have no choice but to support the increase of the defense spending in their national budgets.
This will mean further austerity and breaking down the EU economy from within. The US goal, perhaps, is to coax the EU towards full-fledged militarization and further destabilize the region, then picking them off one by one.
Here's another thought: explicit "wasteland" labor colony to exile people to. Like, he wants his own mini Siberia equivalent in terms of geography.
Sometimes Trump is a useful pawn and his whims align with the long term strategic objectives of the Blob, sometimes he has wrecker tendencies that just cannot be reconciled with anything other than Mercator-brained map painting. The duality of America.
At this point I almost believe that the so-called Blob deliberately plays up Trump’s buffoonery.
This was a hard lesson for me during the Trump’s Liberation Day global tariffs in April last year. The baseline tariff was always going to be 10%, and they could have just said that from the beginning, but it would also have invited backlash from the governments all over the world.
What did they do instead? They played up Trump’s insane tariff charts and after allowing people to spend days making jokes out of it (remember the “Trump tariffing the penguins” joke?), Trump then “walked back” to the pre-determined 10%. The governments across the world sighed a breath of relief, and implicitly accepted the 10% tariff rate because “it could have been worse”.
I fully believe it the bourgeoisie were not prepared for a Trump presidency back in 2016, and I still think that Trump caught the ruling class completely off-guard. I also believe that during the first US-China trade war back in 2018, they haven’t figured out a concrete strategy yet. But I simply will not believe that in 2025, they still haven’t come up with a way to deal with a Trump II presidency.
In fact, we can see the outlines of the imperial strategy being implemented through the Biden years as well, from Trump I’s the US-China trade war that ended with a truce, to Biden’s targeted destruction of the European economy through Ukraine, to the now global tariffs under Trump II. That’s not to say their plans always succeed, but they have a lot more cards to play than many anti-imperialists give credit.
It's madman theory, right? Nixon was the pioneer of this. You play up the craziness as a neogtiating tactic. That sense of ambiguity is also what Trump outlines in his book from the 80s, and it works. I agree that Trump is largely "contained" and his ridiculous outbursts are usually channeled towards what the Blob wants anyway, but he does have his moments of true divine insanity.
The oldest trick in the book.
Greenland has specific deposits of rare earth minerals that are easier to process if I remember correctly. The US needs that as contingency in case of China invading Taiwan. A lot of the US foreign policy decisions since Christmas of last year make sense in that light.
It still doesn't really make sense, Denmark would happily work with the US to exploit Greenland for its resources.
But why would the US do that when they already have military bases and I’m sure Denmark will just yield to US demand?
So it must be assumed that the US wants to do things that Europe wouldn't otherwise allow.
But they already had literal CIA black sites in the EU? I mean, what else could the US possibly want? This truly is just Trump being a dumbass, there is literally no other rational explanation.
I think it is somewhat about national pride for Trump/U.S. . "Look, China, what did you make me do, we can still dominate anyone we choose and extract concessions: Even from our allies, so we will do so doubly for our enemies." Demonstrating who really is in control of global events to China. More a message than an action.
