It's no different from those clips of Hillary Clinton from a while ago where she was talking about how it's a problem that people are no longer getting their information on Palestine/Israel from a handful of heavily curated sources. Her implication was obvious, they want to be able to control the narrative again, and this guy is just stating it even more plainly.

The Hillary Clinton clip wasn't that long ago, it was less than a month ago. She gave a speech at the Doha Forum in Qatar on December 8, where she said that social media was giving misinformation to young people.

The companies sold security software and security services to businesses in the US and elsewhere. The companies monitor the computers and networks of businesses.
