San Francisco, the city where they want to sport hunt the homeless, is definitely the center of communism on earth; not any actual nations espousing communism or socialism as their national ethos, just the techbro city in 'Commiefornia'.

I was curious and checked Wikipedia, this is going to sound like a joke but he was on assignment studying corn in Iowa in 1985. I'm assuming he just visited SF on the way there or back.

I was thinking maybe he was in SF for the booming high tech economy. But apparently he was in the us to study a more important part of the economy!
