Even in leftists spaces this guy’s qualities are outsized and graded on some ridiculous curve. Literally just saw a video of him speaking about race essentialism and I’m honestly rethinking whether I’m living on the same planet with even people I call conrades

There's 2 liberal pathologies that precipitate baseless allegations of talent or skill to right wing charisma vaccuums:

a) denial of media being fully regulated by corporate interests. if you integrate and entertain this line, you're eventually going to stop being a liberal (or at least not credulous). So all right-wing success is attributable to some kind of rhetorical characteristic of the player. People used to say Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly were actually good at communication for this reason

b) they perceive but don't really understand (or they understand and dont mind confirming fascist pretenses) a figure like Fuentes criticizing and arguing with other parts of the right and try to appropriate it, like Neocon criticism of Trump
