Spiro is some of the pills. It's an antiandrogen but also a diuretic and it honestly does a lot of stuff that you might not want. Mine were bitter and minty. It's short for Spironolactone.
Pills can also refer to bioidentical estradiol pills. You typically cannot use these to suppress testosterone and they are taken under the tongue or between the gums and the cheek. Pills are harder on your liver (but not that bad) and are absorbed less efficiently. They are better than nothing and cheaper than injections but injections are your best bet for suppressing t if you still have your testicles.
As for the fear factor you can try an auto-injector. However the best method if you can do it is to get over it.
