I don't find them entertaining.
I'll grant you the artwork going in to them is wonderfully done, the cinematography is better than the marvel movies but that's a frighteningly low bar. But the storytelling, character development, and you know, movie part of the avatar movies is a boring slog.
My partner and I found the second one unwatchable, utterly drowned in toxic machismo
Weirdly enough, that has been my biggest issue with both. The military is portrayed so over the top, that it's laughable.
I get it, military bad, natives good, I'm totally on board with that, but give them some nuance!
